Cold-Case Christianity: A Homicide Detective Investigates the Claims of the Gospels

Cold-Case Christianity: A Homicide Detective Investigates the Claims of the Gospels by J. Warner Wallace is a unique book written by a homicide detective who uses his cold-case training and skills to prove that the gospels of the New Testement are true. The format used here is unique and engaging and I was unable to stop reading once I started. It was exciting to see modern day investigative techniques used to examine the historical evidence that proves the existence of Jesus as the son of God. I would recommend this book to strong Christians, those new in their faith, and those that are skeptics. A smart and interesting read! Heaven Changes Everything

Heaven Changes Everything is devotional based on the best selling Heaven is For Real by Todd and Sonja Burpo. The devotion format used in each chapter contains an outtake from the first book followed by more in-depth study on the subject referenced along with a related scripture. There are a total of 42 devotions and each is written by either Todd of Sonja. I found the devotions to be both thoughtful and thought provoking. They are short enough to be read easily on a daily basis. Fans of the first book will find the added material presented here to be easy to follow. Those that have not readthe first book will find the devotions to be a nice introduction to the Burpos. I would recommend this for anyone looking for a quick and easy daily devotional.
