The Faith of Ronald Reagan by Mary Beth Brown

"My father was a godly man. He loved God. When he decided to run for president, he didn't do it to raise himself up, to be admired, or to have others think he was great. He didn't do it out of selfish reasons or because it is the most powerful position in the country. He did it out of duty. He believed God had called him to run for president. He believed God had things for him to do." ~ Michael Reagan, from the forward

The Faith of Ronald Reagan by Mary Beth Brown delves into the private faith of Ronald Reagan and how it influenced his life. The quote about gives a small insight into the man and to this book. The book traces how faith influenced Reagan from his early childhood to the presidency. Included are many interviews with family, friends and colleagues and the words of Reagan himself.

I fond the book to be a great glimpse into the private side of Reagan and how his faith in God shaped his life and his presidency. I was inspired to learn of his deep rooted faith and how he applied it to his life.

I would recommend this book to anyone that has an interest in presidential history and the faith of our leaders.
